Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers about how Rahasya Yoga works — from your first session to recurring practice.

Do I need to bring my own mat?

For in-home sessions, I bring everything — mats, blocks, straps, and bolsters. If you prefer using your own mat for hygiene or familiarity, please do. For corporate sessions at offices, I bring mats unless your team already has them.

What should I wear to a yoga session?

Comfortable clothing you can move and stretch in. Most students wear leggings or athletic pants with a fitted top. Avoid loose shirts that ride up during inversions. You'll practice barefoot, so no shoes needed.

How do private sessions work — where do they take place?

Private sessions happen wherever you're most comfortable: your home, a workplace conference room, an outdoor space, or virtually via Zoom. I serve New Hill and the wider Raleigh-Durham Triangle (including Cary, Morrisville, Apex, and Durham). Sessions typically run 60 or 75 minutes.

Do you offer corporate yoga at our office?

Yes. Corporate sessions are designed for office settings — no special equipment needed. I bring mats for the team, lead a 45 to 60-minute class adapted to whatever space you have, and tailor intensity to a workplace audience (no one ends up sweaty before their next meeting). Most clients book weekly or bi-weekly.

What ages do you teach?

I teach all ages. Kids yoga is designed for ages 4 to 12 with stories, games, and age-appropriate poses. Mother and child sessions welcome children from toddlerhood up. Adult sessions accommodate beginners through experienced practitioners — I adapt to each student.

How do I book a class?

Visit the Book page on this site to schedule directly through my calendar, or message me on WhatsApp. For corporate inquiries or recurring private sessions, email hello@rahasyayoga.com so we can discuss your schedule and goals.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 24 hours notice for private session cancellations or reschedules. Same-day cancellations are charged at full rate, with exceptions for genuine emergencies. Corporate clients have flexibility built into their package agreements.

Are you Yoga Alliance certified?

Yes. I am RYT-200 certified through Yoga Alliance, with over 15 years of teaching experience. I have trained in Hatha, Yin, therapeutic, and children's yoga.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes — virtual sessions over Zoom are available for individuals and small groups. They work especially well for clients outside the Triangle area, or those with travel-heavy schedules. The quality of attention is the same; you just need a mat and enough room to move.

What styles of yoga do you teach?

My core training is in Hatha and Yin, with elements of therapeutic and restorative yoga depending on what each student needs. I do not teach a fixed style — every session is adapted to your body, energy, and goals on that day.

How long is a typical session?

Private sessions: 60 or 75 minutes. Corporate sessions: 45 to 60 minutes. Kids classes: 30 to 45 minutes depending on age. Virtual sessions match in-person duration.

How does pricing work?

Pricing depends on session type, location, and frequency. Private sessions are typically priced per session with discounts for multi-session packages. Corporate rates are quoted per program based on team size and frequency. Reach out via the Contact page or WhatsApp for a transparent quote.

I am a complete beginner — can I still join?

Absolutely. Many of my students started with no prior yoga experience. I meet you exactly where you are, with no judgment and no assumption that you should be flexible or strong. The whole point of yoga is to begin where you are.

Do you offer group classes for friends?

Yes. Partner yoga and small-group sessions for friends, families, or co-workers are available. These run in homes, community spaces, or outdoors. Per-person pricing typically drops with group size.

Where in the Triangle area do you serve?

I am based in New Hill, NC, and travel throughout the Raleigh-Durham Triangle: Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Morrisville, Apex, and the surrounding communities. For destinations farther out, please reach out to discuss travel logistics.
